Student Travel Awards

Support and grants available for student participation at ACM MM 2026.

ACM SIGMM Student Travel Grants

To promote participation and diversity among students, ACM SIGMM and the ACM MM 2026 organising committee will offer a number of travel grants for students. There are a limited number of grants available, so grants are being prioritised for PhD students.

Eligibility

SIGMM has centralised support for standard student travel for in-person participation. Any student member of SIGMM is eligible to apply (join SIGMM here), however, the students who are the first author of an accepted paper (in any track/workshop) are particularly encouraged to apply. The grants can cover any travel expenses, such as airfare/shuttle, hotel, and meals. Please note that the awards can not cover the cost of registration.

In addition to being a SIGMM member, the applicant must be enrolled in a university at the time of the application submission.

Selection Criteria

Application Procedure

Please submit an online application using this form. Applications will be reviewed after the deadline, and the applicants will be notified in due time. The application system will be open from the 9th of July 2026, and it will remain open until 27 July 2026 (notifications will be sent out to successful applicants around the 17th of August).

Contact

For any queries, please contact SIG MM directly (contact information is at the bottom of the application form).

*Due to the volume of emails, the GCs, TPCs and CPI will not be responding to questions about the travel awards.
